Happy National Milk Day!

This is a holiday that speaks to our Wisconsin dairyland roots! According to National Day Calendar:

National Milk Day on January 11th commemorates the day many think the first milk deliveries in glass bottles began in the United States.  Alexander Campbell of the New York Dairy Company professed to the New York State Senate that his company was the first to make these deliveries in 1878.

The United States and Australia export more milk and milk products than any other countries… Throughout the world, more than 6 billion people consume milk and the products we make from it.

Read more about the history of milk here… And remember to not drink and drive.

Breaking Records in the Rain!

A heartfelt “Thank you!” to our participants, spectators, CVVC members, sponsors, vendors and our Pioneer Park family for a great weekend of fun at the CVVC’s 21st Annual Volkswagen Show, Swap, Campout & Cruise! Despite the rain and storms, we ventured on our Friday night cruise and broke our records for overnight campers and number of registered Volkswagens at Saturday’s show. The Silent Auction was hugely successful, and we will be releasing the details and writing the check to Joshua’s Camp in the coming days. What a great way to celebrate Herbie’s 50th Birthday!

The next CVVC adventure is a Member’s Only invite for a cruise and campout event in July. Become a member here.
